Lebanon Ohio Senior Pictures Stella's Senior Session
Stella's senior session in downtown Lebanon, Ohio featured multiple locations, several outfit changes, and a relaxed experience that highlighted her personality. Beginning with professional hair and makeup by Rachel, we explored flowers, open fields, the historic train, and downtown architecture to create a senior gallery full of variety before her upcoming soccer senior session.
Why Stella Chose Downtown Lebanon One of my favorite things about photographing seniors is helping them choose a location that gives them options. Downtown Lebanon is one of those places that never disappoints. Within just a few minutes, we can move from wide open fields to flower gardens, historic buildings, brick sidewalks, and the train. Instead of driving all over town, we spend more time creating photographs and less time traveling. She got variety without feeling rushed Starting the Day in the Studio Every senior session begins before the camera comes out. We started the afternoon in the studio where Rachel worked her magic with professional hair and makeup. It's one of my favorite parts of the experience because everyone gets a chance to settle in, relax, and get excited for what's ahead. The best part wasn't even the makeup. It was the conversation. Stella's mom came prepared. She pulled out a book and mentioned she'd brought it along to read while we were getting ready. I laughed and told her, "I talk way too much for you to get any reading done." Sure enough, by the time we finished hair and makeup, the book had never even been opened. Moments like that always become some of my favorites because they remind everyone that a senior session doesn't have to feel formal or stressful. It should feel like spending an afternoon with friends.
What Did Stella Wear? Choosing outfits can completely change the feel of a senior gallery. Stella brought several outfits that gave us different looks throughout the afternoon. One of my favorites was her pretty dress, which fit beautifully among the flowers and open field. Then she changed into the cutest romper with cowboy boots. That outfit immediately brought out another side of her personality. It felt playful. Confident. Completely effortless. Because we photographed in several different locations, every outfit felt like it belonged exactly where we were. Nothing felt repetitive. Instead, every stop added something new to her final gallery. My Favorite Locations While every stop was fun, Stella loved the flowers and the open field. After spending time at the field we made our way into downtown. This is one of the reasons I recommend Lebanon to so many seniors. Every few steps offers something different. Historic brick buildings. Interesting textures. Colorful storefronts. Quiet streets. The train. Each location added another chapter to Stella's story without ever feeling like we were forcing anything. Instead of one backdrop over and over, her gallery became a collection of moments and different backgrounds.
Celebrating More Than Senior Year Senior pictures are about more than graduation. They're about documenting a season that will never happen again. Stella is not only a senior at Waynesville High School. She's also an athlete. Knowing we'll be meeting again soon for her soccer senior session made this experience even more exciting. This first session celebrated her personality. The next one will celebrate another huge part of her story. I already know they're going to complement each other perfectly.
First People often ask if they need to know how to pose before their session. The answer is always no. My goal isn't to create photographs that look the same for every senior. My goal is to create an experience where you can relax enough to simply be yourself. That starts with conversation. Sometimes it includes jokes. Sometimes it includes stories. Occasionally it means someone's book never gets opened because we're all having too much fun talking. Those little moments are what people remember long after the session is over. The photographs become reminders of how the day actually felt. That's what matters most to me. Planning Your Own Senior Session If you're beginning to think about senior pictures, now is one of the best times to start planning. Choosing a location that offers variety means your gallery feels full without spending the entire day driving between locations. Downtown Lebanon continues to be one of my favorite places because every senior can make it their own. Some love the flowers. Others are drawn to the historic architecture. Some want open fields. Others love the train. No matter your style, there's room to create a gallery that feels personal. If you're a senior who wants an experience that's relaxed, fun, and filled with genuine moments, I'd love to help you plan it. And if your story includes sports, just like Stella's, we can even build a second session around that part of your senior year. I already can't wait to photograph Stella again when it's time for soccer. I know it's going to be another afternoon filled with laughter, great conversations, and moments that tell even more of her story.
